The service

Amber is an AI family assistant (“Amber”) delivered via web and SMS. Amber can help with scheduling, reminders, drafting emails, placing orders, polls, and other family-coordination tasks. Features may change.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create your own account. Children under 13 may participate only as parent-managed profiles added by a parent. You represent that any information you provide (including phone numbers and email addresses of family members) is accurate and that you have permission to add them.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for anything done through it. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. Parents who invite family members are responsible for obtaining consent from those members (or their legal guardians, for children under 13) before adding them.

Acceptable use

• Don't use Amber to harass, threaten, or defraud anyone.
• Don't attempt to bypass security or access other users' data.
• Don't use Amber for illegal activity, including spam or prohibited goods.
• Don't reverse-engineer the service or scrape it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

SMS messaging

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS from Amber as described in our Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.

Third-party integrations

Optional integrations (Google Calendar, Gmail, Amazon, etc.) are subject to the terms of those providers. Amber uses the access you grant only to fulfill your requests. You can disconnect integrations at any time in settings.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid plan. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Billing is handled by Stripe. You can cancel or change plans at any time from your billing settings; access to paid features ends at the end of the current period. We don't typically refund partial periods.

AI-generated content

Amber uses large language models to generate responses, emails, and suggestions. These outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Review AI-drafted content — especially emails and orders — before anything is sent or purchased on your behalf. You are responsible for the content of messages and orders you approve.

Disclaimers

Amber is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Carrier SMS delivery, third-party integrations, and external services are outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amber is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material we'll notify you by email or SMS. Continued use after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance.
